Steel Palisade

Steel Palisade fencing is a strong cost effective barrier, available in a variety of standard heights as listed below and as specials up to 4.0m. A standard bay of steel palisade typically includes 17no pales per 2.75m bay. This can be increased to 26no. pales per bay for high security sites such as public utility or to a maximum of 35no pales per bay for where reduced visibility coupled with high security is required.

The pales are manufactured from sheet steel formed into a corrugated section for strength to a “D” or “W” profile, with a choice of thickness and security top finish. “W” section pales are manufactured to a thickness of 2mm, 2.5mm and 3mm. “D” section pales have thickness’ of 3mm, 3.5mm and 3.9mm. The pales tops are finished as a triple point, single point, rounded and notched or notched and straight cut.

Standard panels are assembled on site and more commonly the pales are fixed with shear nut and anti tamper bolts to appropriate angle iron rails, which in turn are bolted to rolled steel joist posts.

Alternatively, the pales can be fitted into a slotted rail system which is popular where the security needs to be enhanced further. Such a system is typically offered as a 17 pale variant but popular with Public Utilities is the 26 pale variant with a ‘piggybacked’ Power FenceTM system.
